Role: Senior Account Executive
Location: Remote-first (Texas, Dallas strongly preferred) with occasional in-person collaboration in Dallas, TX

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
As a Senior Account Executive at Bookmarked, you will own the full sales cycle for Texas K-12 school districts. This includes targeted prospecting within a known universe and closing signed agreements. Your primary goal is to exceed revenue targets by effectively tailoring your pitch to both superintendent-level decision-makers and operational champions like librarians. You will demonstrate how Bookmarked addresses immediate compliance needs while supporting long-term literacy success.
We seek a driven closer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages pricing complexities, and offers solutions. This role requires sales expertise, problem-solving skills, and alignment with our core values of teamwork, integrity, and humility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive New Business: Identify, pursue, and close new K-12 school district accounts across Texas, consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Maximize Customer Value: Engage with existing K-12 school district customers to understand evolving needs and identify opportunities to upsell additional Bookmarked solutions, ensuring long-term partnership and value.
- Strategic Sales Execution: Understand district needs deeply, demonstrating how Bookmarked's AI and data platform delivers critical Book Intelligence for compliance and literacy success.
- Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales process from initial contact, compelling presentations and demonstrations, to expert negotiation and deal closure, ensuring a seamless transition to Client Success.
- Cultivate Relationships: Build and nurture strong, influential relationships with key stakeholders, including superintendents, librarians, and school officials, advocating for Bookmarked's mission.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner with marketing, product, and client success teams to enhance our value proposition and ensure a unified market approach.
Qualifications:
- Sales Acumen: 5+ years of demonstrable success in full-cycle B2B SaaS sales, consistently exceeding targets and closing complex deals, with a strong preference for EdTech or K-12. Experience navigating the Texas K-12 decision-making process is a significant plus.
- Strategic Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, present, and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, from executive-level superintendents to operational leaders like librarians.
- Problem-Solving & Urgency: A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with a proven sense of urgency to identify opportunities and drive deals to close efficiently.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and adept at leveraging AI tools to enhance sales efficiency, such as accelerating prospecting, personalizing outreach, or streamlining deal cycles.

- Contacts with and experience selling to Superintendents and Curriculum Directors in K–12 schools
- Startup or early-stage product experience
